Summer arts immersion programs

Enroll your aspiring creator in one or more of the summer fine art camps offered past Herron'due south Community Learning Programs. These weeklong sessions are open to students in grades 5 through 12 and recent high school graduates, with an art-making emphasis on themes such as narrative, identity, and social issues.

Through high-quality art teaching in our spacious and inspiring facilities, participants will notice inspiration, pique their curiosity, and explore the visual arts. They will ameliorate their technical art and design skills past experimenting with unlike artistic processes and creating artwork for a portfolio.

Summer 2022 will characteristic the following eight weeklong sessions, with ii sessions per week:

  • June 13-17: Inferior Loftier Drawing & Illustration + High Schoolhouse Cartoon & illustration
  • June 20-24: Junior High Painting + Loftier School Painting
  • July 11-15: Inferior Loftier iii-D Studio Art + Loftier Schoolhouse 3-D Studio Art
  • July 18-22: Fine art School Sampler + Herron Pre-College

All sessions will be held in Eskenazi Hall, located at 735 W. New York St. on the IUPUI campus, from 9 a.m. to four p.1000.

The cost of all sessions is $200 per person, and each session has a maximum of xv participants.

  • July sessions: July 1

While completing the online registration form secures a pupil'southward spot in a summer session, enrollment is not guaranteed until total payment is received.

Students in grades 4 or 8 who wish to "test out" of their current grade level and into a higher group should submit a portfolio of work to sschool@iupui.edu for consideration.

Herron Pre-College

Herron Pre-College is a week-long advanced intensive designed to prepare students in grades 11 and 12, as well equally recent high school graduates, for the challenges of a college-level studio art curriculum.
